Message Banner
This is a Marketing Section — it does not exist in Shopify’s default emails. You control it live: change text, enable or disable per template, no re-export needed. See What are Marketing Sections? for an overview.
A colored strip at the very top of your email. Use it for store-wide announcements.
Use case
"Free shipping on orders over $50" — enable it across all templates. Promotion over? Disable with one click.
What you can customize
- Message text — supports bold, italic, underline
- Background color
- Text color
- Text size — Small, Medium, Large
Template control
The banner can be active or hidden per template. The status label in the canvas shows e.g. "Active 12/53" — meaning it’s enabled in 12 of 53 templates.
