Do I need coding knowledge?

No. Smart Emails is a fully visual editor — you don’t need any coding knowledge. Everything is done through visual controls like color pickers, dropdowns, and toggles.

For advanced users, there is an optional custom Liquid code field per section for special display conditions. But for normal use, you never need to touch code.
